At Glossy Rock, many of our items are specially handmade using the finest quality materials. Please see the item description for materials used. Some of our main materials are listed below:

Sterling Silver

All our sterling silver is sourced from quality British suppliers. Where an item is described as using sterling silver, this means that the metal contains 92.5% silver. Our items utilise sterling silver wire and sterling sheet, as well as ready made sterling components, such as chain or clasps. Most of the pieces we sell fall below the minimum weight for hallmarking, and so will NOT have a hallmark, although they may be stamped 925 to show the silver content. Where an item IS hallmarked, this will be stated in the description.

Crystal & Crystal Pearls

All crystals and crystal pearls used in our creations are supplied by Swarovski Crystallised Elements, becasue they are the best available. Please note that these items do not come witha Swarovski certificate - this is reserved for jewellery pieces made completely by Swarovski. Our pieces use their components, but are handfinished by us.

Silvertone

This term is used to describe components that are silver in colour but do not contain silver.

Gemstones

We use a wide variety of gemstones in our designs, including quartz, jasper, onyx, turquoise and agate, as well as freshwater pearls. All such gemstones are natural products and therefore each stone can vary, especially in colour. We always try to match stones as closely as possible for each item or set of items, but please be aware that the stones may not exactly match the photo description.

Millefiore

Millefiore is created using special glass techniques to create vibrant colours and designs. Most of our millefiore beads are sourced from China.
